Managers are often faced with a difficult responsibility of promoting and implementing change which is at the same time deeply impacting on themselves and their direct reports.

Managers often feel like the proverbial ‘meat in the sandwich’ and are faced with the day-to-day reality of supporting employees through their variable responses to change whilst being accountable for ‘business as usual’ in an often complex and client driven work environment.

Another reality for managers is that they are often at the same time experiencing their own ransition in today’s climate of ongoing change.

Our Solution

Our Communicating Change and Managing Transition workshop provides managers with the opportunity to receive support and learn practical strategies to effectively manage transitions within the workplace and address specific challenges arising throughout organisational change processes. It will also provide managers with some strategies to manage their own transition.

The workshop covers key topics before, during and after the change:

Before the change

• What do I need to do to prepare staff for organisational change and individual transition? *
• Change vs transition – what’s the difference?
• How do I manage the potential resistance to change?

During the change

• How do I best communicate the change to staff?
• How do I manage resistance?
• How do I achieve buy-in to the change?
• How do I have effective career conversations with staff?

After the change

• How do I support those who have been impacted by the change and get the best out of them?
• What support is available to me as Manager and how do I personally deal with this change?

Key Outcomes

• Support employees affected by the current organisational changes;
• Respond, and assist others to respond, to changing circumstances;
